It would be great to hear from someone who has solved this problem and has found a really functional DVR live viewer software package. The Manufacturer's software is PSS or Smart PSS viewer and it just does not work. ![]() Have a 7100 for loading programs on my live modules. Now a PC for audio, but the G4 (running opcode suite) for just the midi side. Mac G4 that handled midi and audio until recently. The time will come when I will be done with my current setup and go on my way. ![]() ![]() So if I know where it's probably gonna hafta head, I just plan for it that way and allow these new workflows to ooze their way into my setup. I know that sooner or later one, or perhaps two, PCs will replace the whole magilla and everything - tracking, mixing, and mastering - will be accomplished internally. I know that sooner or later may many rack units will be replaced with soft synths. But I'm 'encroaching' with PC based stuff like Cubase (still an old version, though). So I keep my vintage Macs alive for that. ![]() My trouble is that I haven't found anything close to the MIDI suite I now enjoy. It's just a collection of parts and any and all of them can be replaced. Never yet seen a computer that was "too far gone". |
